SILVER LINING

Hello, MISOGYNISTS.

Sexism would definitely be an ugly thing that society is plagued with. It perpetuates gender roles, and constantly makes women feel inadequate or inferior. Things like men expecting their woman to have dinner ready, or making them stay home and take care of the kids I a form of sexism in my eyes. While they are out, making money, and we are at home.

Why can’t it be the other way around?

Why must women take the man’s name?

Why can’t women be the primary breadwinners for once? Ooooh, you’ll feel emasculated.

NEWSFLASH, WE HAVE FELT THIS WAY FOREVER.

Okay, I’m veering from the issue. So, I’ve recently realized that the feminist movement is a racist organization, so I will not use that as the silver lining. I will speak of womanism in lieu. My appropriately zealous sister introduced me to womanism just a few days ago, for before that, I was completely ignorant on the subject. Womanism is a movement to acquire equal rights for black women, who are oppressed both because of their race and gender. This would be a silver lining because these women didn’t let society bring them down, but they rose up and protested. Instead of being complacent, they conjured up an entire movement to change the status quo. It’s generally hard to find the silver lining in such repulsing things like sexism or racism, but that’s only because people are comfortable in their misery. Like me, I’m literally always annoyed, and I’m okay with that.

Wait, I’m getting off topic, bye.
